Cosmo Girl

This past week I had to go to Vegas for work.  Chase was able to come with me and we made a mini trip out of it.  We had a great time and enjoyed a little break, but we missed Jax so much!  Anyhow we went to the newest hotel The Cosmopolitan and it was AMAZING!  Chase kept making fun of me about how many times I said that! lol  It truly was though.  The details that went into that place were so impeccable and the decor was just fabulous!  I could have just walked around and looked at everything for forever!  We already have a girls trip in the works to go back for the summer....can't wait!

Is there a pattern here?

I have been looking through a lot of my magazine clippings and different pictures of decorating ideas and I've noticed some of the pictures are very similar! If you aren't sure what your style is, I suggest looking through magazines and searching the Internet and compiling everything you like.  I would guess you would find a lot of the same styles as well!  Decor pad www.decorpad.com is a great place to search; they have thousands of great rooms and ideas.

What a great idea!  I would never thought to paint kitchen cabinets navy....although I would probably just do the island in this color (it is a little much).

Sweet and timeless girls/teen room.

I will never buy another wooden headboard.  I think an upholstered headboard is the way to go; its so much more personal and prettier (in my opinion).

Evidently I love navy, upholstered headboards, stripes and geometric patterns! ha I guess I could have told you that already though.  I look around my house and see all of these things twice over.  Jax's room is done in vertical stripes (I'll take a picture soon) and I love it. :)

My Sweet Sweet Baby Jax

My beautiful little man is 8 months today!  I can't believe it!  He makes me smile every time I think about him.  He has brought our whole family so much joy and he is such a blessing.  It's so funny...just about everyone we know calls him Baby Jax instead of Jax.  I'm not sure what they are going to do when he gets older. lol  Jax already has such a personality and Chase warns me everyday that we are going to have our hands full when he gets older.  We are just so thankful for Jax and his little temper too!  Happy 8 months Booger! :)

The Beginning...

Ok, I am new in the whole blog world so I am open to suggestions on what to do and how to improve! :)  I  am making this my new years resolution.  We (Chase and I) have an 8 month old little boy, Jax and I want to make sure that we are recording memories that we share with him.  I think this blog will help me to be better at taking pictures (I'm horrible at it!) and writing down special events and not so special events too!  I also am slightly obsessed with decorating and looking up fabulous rooms to emulate or draw inspiration from for my own use one day. Anyhow, I truly am blessed and so thankful for my family and friends.  God has been great to me and my family and I just want to share a little bit of our lives! :)
